On November 14th, Children’s Day, we mark the beginning of our organization’s journey, celebrating it as our foundation day. Members and volunteers unite for a small program, reaffirming our commitment. Local children join in drawing, dancing, singing, and joyful activities. We share delicious food, creating a memorable day of camaraderie and shared joy. This annual celebration symbolizes our dedication to the well-being and happiness of children, reinforcing the spirit of our organization.
Independence Day
Independence Day holds a special place in the hearts of all Indians. Each year on the 15th of August, we celebrate this day, commemorating our liberation from two centuries of slavery. Our President proudly hoists the national flag, paying homage to freedom fighters. Local communities join us in celebrations, and we organize programs, including singing, dancing, reciting, and drawing competitions for local children, ensuring a memorable and meaningful observance.
Republic Day
On January 26th each year, we observe Republic Day, marking the adoption of our Constitution in 1950. On this day we organize a program for celebrating our democratic values. At our organization premises, our president and secretary hoist the national flag, and deliver inspiring speeches that emphasize our commitment to societal betterment. A special program features students showcasing their talents in cultural activities, making the day enjoyable. It’s a day to reinforce our commitment to a just and democratic society.
International Women’s Day
International Women’s Day is a global day to honour the achievements of women. On this day, we conduct meaningful programs to raise awareness about women’s rights, responsibilities, and the path to self-dependence. This year, we reached out to underprivileged women, focusing on health awareness and intimate hygiene. We distributed sanitary napkins, emphasizing the importance of women’s well-being and dignity. Through such initiatives, we aspire to contribute to the holistic development and empowerment of women in our community.
Teacher’s Day
Every 5th September, we celebrate Teachers’ Day, honoring the contribution of Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a revered scholar and philosopher. On this occasion, we extend our outreach to underprivileged children, distributing essential study kits, books, and education-related essentials. Through this initiative, we aim to promote education, acknowledge the importance of teachers, and empower disadvantaged students on their educational journey.
Rabindra Jayanti
Rabindra Jayanti is the most revered day for Bengalis, celebrated joyfully every year on the 25th of Baisakh to mark the birth of Bengal’s greatest poet, Rabindranath Tagore. In honor of his legacy, we organize a heartfelt program featuring Rabindra Nritya, Rabindra Sangeet, and more. This event serves as a sincere tribute, capturing the essence of Tagore’s timeless contributions to literature and the arts, allowing people to express their reverence for the iconic poet.
